Word of the Week: Docket
Docket
Docket has many meanings and is often used by lawyers in different ways.
It can refer to the calendar or schedule of the court, or the case load of the court. It is also a log, with short entries of actions that took place in the case. Docket can also be used to refer to a certain type of cases, such as a criminal docket or family law docket.
